2026 ESVONC Congress: Nurse and Technician Call for Presentations


Submissions are now open for unique and interesting vet nurse case reports, to be presented at ESVONC Congress 2026 in Dublin on 22nd - 23rd May. Below is further guidance to assist with structuring presentation proposal submissions:

PRESENTATION OPTIONS:

  1. Case report format: Presentation should be 15 minutes in length inclusive of time for audience questions. Content should focus on the nurse/technician’s involvement in the management of a case or case series, and should briefly include the case history, diagnostics performed and individual family or patient factors which influenced treatment, so that the audience understands the background. A case summary should reflect on what aspects of management went well, what could have been improved upon and how it shapes approach to future patient care management. Case reports must support recognised clinical practice and be referenced within the presentation.
  1. Care tips format: Presentation / practical display should be 15 minutes in length inclusive of time for audience questions. Content should focus on methods which the audience can use themselves to enhance clinical practice, patient care, safety, or efficiency. The topic could be a new or novel method, or one which you have learned/understood more recently and so believe fellow nursing professionals should be aware of. Recommendations must have scientific (evidential) support where appropriate and be referenced in the presentation.

Deadline for submission is 13th April 2026

A panel of specialist reviewers will score proposals based on concept, relevance and originality. Notification of acceptance or rejection of submitted presentation proposals to the ESVONC Congress Nurse and Technician program will be made by April 20th 2026. If accepted, the presenter will receive a formal invitation from the ESVONC Secretary, listing all terms and will have the chance to accept or decline this opportunity.

A Speaker Biography, accompanying portrait picture and presentation synopsis (100-150 words) will be requested as part of the acceptance to the event; that information will be included within the scientific proceedings and may be added to the ESVONC Congress website or social media platforms.

Up to two presenters are permitted for each presentation session

Patient confidentially should be respected, and any images shared should have client consent otherwise should be anonymised.
